The winter is on and is fierce than usual this time.
The trees have started sheding leaves.
This reminds me of a game I enjoyed in my childhood.. Catching the falling leaves..! Though it sounds simple it wasnt that easy..Perticularly the lighter leaves like the Neem leaves.. The dry leaves falling from the trees dodge us and make us dance to its tune. The leaf that we follow may sometimes reach our hands and most of the times get carried away with wind. The fun is in chasing the leaf hoping it might land up in our hands.. Do try out.Its fun.. I did enjoy it in my childhood. Now with years I have learnt and experienced Life to some extent..Loosing is always Pain. I therefore pity the tree of loosing evrything when in utmost need.!
Just to share with my silent listners a Poem ,the auther of which Iam not aware of ,has beautifully put down the sadness that the falling leaves remind him of.
Falling Leaves:
I was thinking of old friends today
and how many of them have slipped away.
Moved, got married, or stopped calling so much,
Found new friends, got busy, and just lost touch.
It reminded me of falling leaves.
Evry Autumn the leaves fall from the trees.
Some stay longer than others, but eventually-
Each leaf must fall, I'm told,
Leaving the tree alone to face the cold
Why is it that in the time of utmost need
the leaves would seek to leave the tree?
And when we need our friends around
we look and they cannot be found?
Of course these friendships come and go
and in the spring new leaves will grow.
But I prefer autumn friends of old
with crackling laughter and colors bold.
And then I thought of you.
That one stubborn leaf that won't let go.
That clings despite the winds that blow.
Fighting ice, and snow, and winter's stings
Hanging on right through till spring.
So I guess that's what you are to me -
The very last leaf to leave the tree.
I know it seems silly, but it's true.
When I see that last leaf...I think of you.
.....don't drift away.... will you???
Awesome is'nt it..!!
With this I wish all my Autum friends and that of Spring a Happy 2011. Hope you have a rocking year ahead..!
Love,
Cheers' J
